The Academy aids participants in integrating their faith and their understanding of various areas of public policy, contributing to the development of their communication and leadership skills.

The program consists of 10 two hour sessions that focus on helping participants to:

  • Explore the place of Christian faith in social, economic and political life
  • Bring biblical-theological perspectives to bear on evaluating public policy
  • Exercise leadership in congregational education and public ministry
  • Develop knowledge and abilities to serve as an advocate

The Academy’s program is available to individual congregations so that 15–20 members can receive training to become leaders in the church’s mission and public ministries.
