As Protestants for the Common Good selects particular issues of public policy to be addressed, it often develops statements that convey how the organization approaches, understands, and makes recommendations on the matter.

The statements are of two kinds:

Principles, which outline the axioms that serve as the basis for PCG’s sustained programmatic work in a particular area of public policy:

Faith Reflections, which set forth PCG’s thinking on important topics but are not necessarily included in the organization’s programmatic agenda:
"Truth is above harmony. Those who fear disorder more than injustice invariably produce more of both."
- William Sloane Coffin, Jr.

The Common Good Agenda

The Common Good Agenda is developed in dialogue with PCG’s constituency on a regular basis. It articulates the central issues on which PCG focusses in its educational-programs and advocacy.
